A blog about a busy mom who homeschools her four children, juggles activities and housework, and still manages to find quality time to be a family.
Nice! But what was wrong with them before?
When we moved into the house, there was WHITE carpet throughout the 1st floor. We left it there the first winter and then pulled it up last spring. So there were places where there were tiny bits of glue/rubber backing. And you can see how dull the floors were, with lots of tiny scratches. They just didn't look nice, and they never looked clean, either. Not that I am a housekeeping freak, but I resent cleaning and then having it still look dirty! Also, my kids got splinters all the time because the floors were rough. Ben got one that got infected and then we had to squeeze it out of his foot like an enormous pimple. Charming. Now it feels smooth, looks shiny and clean, and other than some scars that didn't come out with sanding, has no more scratches. At least, till family life gets back to normal again....--Jen
